Mission & Values

At House Christian Church, our mission and purpose, or ‘why we exist’ is simple.
We exist to:

We were created to worship God—this is the heartbeat of our community. Scripture calls believers a “holy priesthood” (1 Peter 2:5), set apart to give all honour, glory, and praise to the Lord.

WORSHIP GOD

We are committed to teaching God’s Word faithfully and clearly, with the desire to “…equip the saints for the work of the ministry” (Ephesians 4:12). Our goal is to empower every believer to serve and grow in Christ.

EQUIP THE SAINTS

The Church is called to be a “city on a hill that cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14), a shining light making real impact. We seek to reach our local community, believing many will come to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

Values

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work”
-  2 Timothy 3:16-17

Scripture is our standard and our lens. We believe the bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God. We believe in the authority of scripture, and we are a people who are devoted to studying God’s word to better know Jesus Christ and see his Kingdom come on the Gold Coast as it is in heaven.

01 SCRIPTURE

02 PRAYER

“My house will be called a house of prayer..”
- Matthew 21:13

Prayer is foundational to everything we do as a church. We are committed to seeking and pursuing God in prayer—both individually and corporately.

03 HONOUR

“Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
- Hebrews 10:25

We are committed to gathering regularly as a body of believers to worship, encourage, and support one another. We believe fellowship and community are where we grow deeper in our relationship with God and with each other, creating an environment that strengthens our faith.

"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." — 1 Peter 4:10

We find it an honour to be generous with the gifts God has given us — toward those in our church community and beyond. We believe generosity and sacrifice are divinely linked, and we are committed to being a generous people — with our time, talents, and resources.

"Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.”
-
Romans 12:10

Honour is an integral culture at HCC. We are called to honour one another in love and respect, celebrating the uniqueness of each person and treating one another with dignity and kindness.

04 GENEROSITY

05 COMMUNITY

06 SERVANT LEADERSHIP

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
- Mark 10:45

We are committed to serving one another with a humble, servant-hearted attitude. We serve not out of duty or obligation, but from a place of love and sacrifice for the good of others, believing everyone has a role to play in building up the body of Christ.

07 PASSION

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
- Romans 12:11–12

We are passionate about Jesus and His Kingdom. Passion isn’t about hype or fleeting emotion—it’s a deep, consistent fire that the Holy Spirit places within us for the things of God. We serve, worship, give, and build the Kingdom of God with passion, enthusiasm, and expectation.
